In The Park
All of the activities at The Park Mount Beauty are free of charge, we only ask that equipment is returned to the games area at Reception when finished with.
(When we are really busy we sometimes charge a deposit for the golf and tennis balls to ensure they are returned. This is a nominal fee and is refunded when the ball is returned)

Full size tennis court is available during the day, free of charge to guests in the park.
A 9 hole mini-golf course provides hours of enjoyment for children and adults alike.
Our sandpit has benches nearby so mums and dads can sit while their little ones explore.
Our basketball ring is located by the tennis court and balls are in the games area at reception.
Table tennis is a fun game and tests skill and speed. Bats and balls are available from the games area at reception.

We have a sand volleyball court for use by our guests and is a great family or group activity.

Explore The Area
HORSEBACK RIDING
There are many opportunities to explore and enjoy the mountains and valleys of the Alpine National Park on horseback. Horses are generally permitted throughout the area except for particularly sensitive vegetation communities, mossbeds and wet heathlands, on some walking tracks, and in refernce areas. Horse yards are located at Langford West camping ground on the Bogong High Plains Road past Falls Creek. Bogong Horseback Adventures run trail rides ranging from half day to full packhorse tours of the High Country.
WALKING
There are many walks in and around Mount Beauty to enjoy during your time here. Whether you are after a short stroll along the river, seeing a gushing waterfall, or you are after a more challenging day walk - there is something for everyone is our beautiful town.

MOUNTAIN BIKING
Mount Beauty is a mountain biking mecca, and at the venue for all of the fun is Big Hill Mountain Bike Park. There are many different trails across the park from ones which feature very steep technical descents on the downhill race course to intermediate level cross-country. Most riders will enjoy the technical challenge and there are great views to take in on the climb up. For those seeking a great view over the Kiewa valley turn right off the Bogong High Plains Rd 5.5kms out of Mt Beauty, and follow the dirt road for 8kms to Big Hill lookout. RIVER RAFTING
The Kiewa River runs through The Park and is a pristine mountain river. What better way to enjoy the stunning views than floating down the rapids on a tyre tube or raft?
ROAD CYCLING
Victoria’s North East is a road-riding paradise! Breathtaking scenery, quiet country roads, alpine ascents, happy-to-help locals and an action-packed events calendar. With such a wide range of riding options, this part of the world is THE ideal holiday destination for avid road cyclists.
SNOW SPORTS
Victoria’s largest alpine resort is located 30km from the Mount Beauty township. Falls Creek is designed for all abilities, with snowboarding, cross country skiing, downhill skiing and snow parks. 4WD & DIRT BIKING
The Alpine National Park and state forests near Mount Beauty are filled with tracks and roads for four wheel drive and dirt bike enthusiasts... Head off the highway in your four-wheel drive or dirt bike and have your own High Country adventure. Travel up and down Alpine back roads and forest tracks at your own pace and discover idyllic campgrounds, rivers and waterfalls, and sweeping views at every turn.
GLIDING
Experience the gentle thrill of flying without a motor over the beautiful Kiewa Valley! Mount Beauty Gliding Club is a strong passionate community of glider pilots who welcome visitors to join in the fun with them. Go for a flight and experience the thrill of a winch launch in their new 2 seat glider. It is also possible to have a flight in a motorised self-launching glider. From only $150 for a 30 minute flight it makes it an affordable way to view the aptly named township of Mount Beauty and the Kiewa Valley from the air.
FISHING
The Kiewa River rises in forest in the Alpine National Park as the east and west branches and join on the narrow flood plain at Mount Beauty township. The river then flows through farmland with the valley widening in the lower reaches, providing ample opportunity to access the river and throw a line in. GOLF
Mt Beauty has a charming but none-the-less challenging golf course with one of the most scenic views of any golf course in Australia! Green fees are paid at the club house.
