Beautiful camp & caravan ground *****

I have just spent a week in this little gem of a camping ground. Here are some of the highlights. The environs are just beautiful. The river flows with a litte rapid, there is a swimming hole, the trees are cared for, and though it rained, the well placed fire pits roared through the winters nights.
Conveniently located at the base of the 30 km climb to Falls Creek, we used this campground as a base for our ski trip. Close to some lovely restaurants, ski hire, and some excellent little shops in Mount Beauty, this Park had it all.
I must mention the BBQ’s; absolutely pristine!!!. Cooking oil spray and paper towels were provided, along with a spatula. In the camp kitchen, dish liquid and cloths were provided also.
The showers were hot and strong, and the amenities generally well thought out...I would have liked Some heating in the block, but I survived. A minor quibble.
The common area had some decent dining tables and comfortable lounges, where we were able to escape the significant rain.
For the kids in us all, there was mini golf and basketballs, ping pong, and other ball based games provided gratis.
This park really is lovely and well cared for.
Hot tip: get the kids to take the quiz to earn the sew on souvenir badge. Very cool.

Swim in a pristine

mountain stream *****

Back again in this beautiful caravan park, this time for a summer holiday in my caravan.

I have a beautiful well grassed, shaded site with power, water and sullage, large enough for my long caravan and vehicle. The bathrooms are well maintained and very clean, the staff very pleasant and helpful, especially the always cheerful Lin in the office, the landscaping attractive and the views of the nearby alps spectacular. Plenty of cafes and the boutique Sweetwater Brewery within easy walking distance. Lots of activities in the surrounding area including bush walking, horse riding, mountain bike riding, cooling off on hot days in the invigorating crystal clear water of the Kiewa River flowing past the park, tourist drives and gliding . Sleep soundly with the restful babbling of the nearby river. A great place to stay any time of the year either in caravans, tent camping, cabins or units

WOW! Location, location, location! Right on the river, sites grassy and large, the camp kitchen and bbqs were cleanest we've seen, you could see your reflection on bbq plate! Good biking around town and beyond, everything you need in town. Owners super helpful and maintenance in the park was excellent. A wonderful quiet stay on edge of town. We'll be back!
